Review by hotel critic
As a Melbourne-based environmental scientist and dedicated surfer, I prioritize tranquility and convenience when selecting accommodations. During my recent stay in Matlock, I was delighted by the exceptionally clean and welcoming atmosphere offered by my chosen BnB. The lush garden area provided a calm retreat, while the nearby Black Cat Cafe and local restaurants, like the Tipsy Toad and Viva Italian, were perfect for indulging in delightful adventures in dining. My room was impeccably furnished, featuring thoughtful touches such as homemade biscuits and a cafetière, creating a sense of home. The daily breakfast was a culinary highlight, thoughtfully curated with fresh fruit and unique dishes—a testament to the hosts' care for their guests. In short, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. This gem in the heart of Matlock exceeded all expectations, and I highly encourage others to explore it for themselves. I can’t wait to return!
